Leading Edge Acquires Ramapo

As seen on Door and Window Market:
Leading Edge has announced the acquisition of Ramapo, a fenestration industry supplier. The move strengthens Leading Edge’s commitment to delivering top-quality products, service, and innovative solutions to the Insulated Glass (IG) manufacturing sector, officials said.
Since 1995, Leading Edge has been a just-in-time (JIT) supplier of coiled steel, aluminum, and other IG components, supporting Intercept and InterGrid IG manufacturers as well as various roll-forming processes. The addition of Ramapo’s expertise and product offerings enables Leading Edge to provide an expanded range of solutions tailored to meet the evolving needs of the fenestration industry, Leading Edge officials said.
As part of the transition, Ramapo’s South Carolina facility closed on December 12, and all operations will be consolidated at Leading Edge’s new facility in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, starting January 2. Existing Ramapo contacts will remain available to provide support. Additionally, Jason Douglas will serve in an advisory role to ensure continuity.
“This is an exciting milestone that unites two industry leaders with a shared focus on quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction. By combining Ramapo’s exceptional product offerings—such as induction-welded aluminum box spacers and induction-welded, powder-coated muntin lineals—with Leading Edge’s established portfolio of roll-formed muntin bars, pre-cut and pre-notched custom muntin profiles, fasteners, and injection-molded clips, we’re significantly enhancing our ability to support customer needs with precision and excellence,” said Dave Thoman, president and CEO of Leading Edge. “Our expanded capabilities, backed by the resources of our new facility, enable us to streamline operations, drive innovation, and deliver unparalleled service to the fenestration industry.”
